Hmmm ... how to explain ..
You know how on the main forum page which lists the categories and boards, how it says on the right (this is an example from my own forum):
on Yesterday at 9:41pm by llxll Battered Rose llxll in Ellen Hopkins.
Is there any way to take out the "in Ellen Hopkins" part?
That way it would only say:
on Yesterday at 9:41pm by llxll Battered Rose llxll
So it doesn't say exactly WHICH thread was updated.
Because it looks sloppy and stretches out the blank space in the description part of the board on the main page if you get what I mean.

Just brainstorming, but use this code and manually enter the full name of the board, to be replaced with a space and put it in your main footer and see if that solves the problem. codehelp.proboards26.com/index.cgi?board=PBCodes&action=display&thread=1070839528

I don't quite understand ._. I understand how the code you gave me works, but how would I be able to change that on the main page if it always says who updated which thread. Like now, it says: on Today at 9:36am by Ira the Hedgehog in Introduce Yourself! how could I make the "in Introduce Yourself!" part of EVERY board detail go away. www.LithiumSkies.co.nrit says things like that for every board, even in this board. on Yesterday at 8:54pm by Simpsons Rule in Is there a code for this? if I could make that "in" line go away for EVERY board on the main page ... but I don't see how. Not just the word "in" but that and everything following that. How could I make that go away with the code if every time a topic is updated in the board, that phrase is going to change to "in [thread name]" I'm probably not making any sense ...

I do understand, but this is what I meant. Try adding this to your Main Footer. Mind you, it's only the boards I saw, and you'd have to add all the ones that are missing, but I don't see another way of doing it. <script type="text/javascript"> <!--
function switchIt(item, item2){ if(!location.href.match(/=headersfooters2/i)){ if(document.createTreeWalker && typeof Node != "undefined"){ Node.prototype.switchTxt = function(r, rp){ function testNode(node){ if(node.data.match(new RegExp(r, "ig"))){ return NodeFilter.FILTER_ACCEPT; } else { return NodeFilter.FILTER_SKIP; } } var nTree = this.ownerDocument.createTreeWalker(this, NodeFilter.SHOW_TEXT, testNode, false); while(nTree.nextNode()){ nTree.currentNode.data = nTree.currentNode.data.replace(new RegExp(r, "gi"), rp); } } document.body.switchTxt(item, item2); } else if(typeof document.body.createTextRange != "undefined"){ var range = document.body.createTextRange(); range.collapse(true); while(range.findText(item)){ range.text = item2; range.collapse(false); } } } }
switchIt("in Moderators Needed!", ""); switchIt("in Banners", "User"); switchIt("in Introduce Yourself!", ""); switchIt("in This Or That?", "User"); switchIt("in The Official Mushy Lov...", ""); switchIt("in Moved: Death to all li...", "");
//--> </script>
