Whilst I'm no beginner at the Internet, I am a virgin with code. I want to have a music player on my forum that I can add my own music to. I had mixpod which was excellent, but that's closed shop. I tried to get one by adding code, but I couldn't figure it all out... can anyone help me, please? John

I have already tried the second one... I pasted the code into a New Thread box but all I get is the code when I post it. I'm probably doing something wrong...

I did open the "insert code here" function by the way... To add code to your message board you have to go to click on the admin link at the top of your message board. Then you have to click on the headers and footers link on the following page. Select the appropriate header and footer set for the code. They should tell you the placement in the post with the code. Most of the time it will be either in your global headers and footers, or your main page headers and footers. Then once you have that selected, simply copy and paste the code into the appropriate text field, either the header, or the footer. Again, usually they tell you the placement where you received the code. I hope that this clarifies some things. Let us know if you need anything else.

Inserted the code as and where you suggested, a Player link has appeared on the Header but when you click on that all I get is a blank page with a drop down box with nothing in it.

I assume you're using the pop up music player code? If you are, you need to insert the URL of your music into the portion of the code that has "SONG URL" and then put the name of the song into the portion that states "SONG NAME" towards the top of the code. You can add multiple songs, you just have to make sure you insert each one into a new line. You will have to upload your music online to a hosting site. And make sure that the music you're using is not copyrighted, or that you have permission to use it.
