I have a Roleplaying Forum which incorporates two different types of characters: The Police Force and Graffiti Artists I've looked for every which way out of this but I can't seem to find one, therefore I'm hoping someone can help me out with a code to make this possible. What I want is to be able to put members into either group, aside from admins and moderators, and as they post their ranks will go up as usual but it'll be different for each group. I can't put the general ranks as one or the other because Graffiti Artist's wouldn't be classified as Officers, Detectives or Captains while a Police Officer wouldn't be classified as a Newbie. For Example: The first level for someone in the Police Group would be Officer while someone on the same post level in the Graffiti Group would be a Newb or Newbie. The second level for the Police Group would be Detective or possibly Sergeant while the Graffiti Group would be Rookie. The post requirements for both groups would be the same but the ranks themselves would be different. I actually got this idea looking at another code someone had put up for gender based ranks (located here). If anyone needs me to expand on my description, I'll be happy to. I'm just not sure what else to include. Edit: This would also have to be compatible with the code that displays rank as well as member groups located here

Now, just to clarify, you want a completely different ranking system that will be increased only from posts made in a certain board or boards. Is this correct?

Hello and thank you. Not entirely, the rank will go up as normal on all boards that I have post counts enabled but they'd be different for each of the groups. Take for example the Gender based Ranks code someone else made. Depending on your gender, when you rank up it's displayed differently than the other gender. I'm just wondering if it could be made different depending on the member group your in. That way the Police Officer's would rank up from Officer, Detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain. While the Graffiti Artists would rank up from Newbie, Rookie, Novice, Intermediate, and Expert. So when the person signs up on the site and makes their character for the roleplay. Depending on whether they made an officer or an artist their account would be placed in either the Police Group or the Graffiti Artist Group. Their Ranks would change at the same time, 50 posts, 100 post, etc. but they wouldn't be displayed the same. Does that make sense?

I know that they're not ideal solutions, but it's the best that I could find: Staff Have Normal RanksRankings and Member GroupsYou could also try requesting the code on ProBoards Support Coding and Design Boards: ProBoards SupportAlways be sure to read the rules before posting a code request. I'm sorry that I couldn't be of any further help, I hope that you find what you're looking for. Good luck.

Thanks for all your help, I actually found a roundabout way of solving this issue.
I'm using the Add More Gender's Code to list Male and Female Artists and Officers, then adding in the Gender Based Ranks to do it that way. Probably more complicated than requesting a code, but I'm sort of iffy about taking up people's time like that. Heh.
